JJ Redick Installed as Early Favorite for Lakers Coaching Job

Former 76ers Player Given 3-1 Odds

WEB SportsBettingag has installed former 76ers player JJ Redick as the early 3-1 favorite to become the next head coach of the Los Angeles Lakers. Redick, who has no prior coaching experience, is ahead of Monty Williams (4-1), who was recently fired by the Phoenix Suns.

Redick's Background

JJ Redick is a retired American professional basketball player who played 15 seasons in the NBA. He is currently an NBA analyst for ESPN and hosts a podcast called "The Old Man and The Three." Redick played college basketball for Duke University, where he was a two-time All-American. He was selected by the Orlando Magic with the 11th overall pick in the 2006 NBA Draft.

Redick spent time with the Magic, Milwaukee Bucks, Los Angeles Clippers, Philadelphia 76ers, New Orleans Pelicans, and Dallas Mavericks during his playing career. He was known for his shooting ability, particularly from three-point range. Redick retired from the NBA in 2021.

It is worth noting that the Lakers have not officially announced a new head coach. The team is expected to make a decision in the coming weeks.
